If You’re Visiting for the First Time
- Getting Here: we have a small car park. Many walk or take the bus.
- When You Arrive: a friendly welcomer will greet you with a service sheet and notices. Tea, coffee, and biscuits are served before or after the service (sometimes both).
- Seating: sit wherever you like — no reserved seats.
- During the Service: people stand, sit, and move around at various times (prompts are in the service sheet). Join in as much or as little as you like.
- Prayer & Reflection: you can light a candle at the stand on the left, or write a prayer request on the cards provided.
- There is no special dress code
- Timing: the service lasts about an hour. It is ideal to arrive five minutes before the service starts, but we are relaxed here and some people come in and out at different times during the service, so do feel at home.
Coming with Children
- A play area is available opposite the front door for younger children.
- Some families prefer to sit near the front so children can see better.
- You can choose to stay for the whole service or go with your children to the children’s activities – whatever works best for you.
