Weddings at St John the Baptist Church

Congratulations on your engagement! Planning a wedding is an exciting and special time, and we would be delighted to talk with you about holding your wedding at St John’s Church.

A church wedding is more than a beautiful setting (though we have that too!). It is a sacred occasion where you make your vows before God, family, and friends, asking for God’s blessing on your life together.

Why Choose a Church Wedding?

  • A church wedding allows you to mark your marriage within a spiritual and meaningful setting.
  • It is a chance to make lifelong promises in front of those you love, with the support and prayers of the church community.
  • We will work with you to create a service that is personal and reflects your relationship, including your choice of readings, music, and any special touches that are important to you.

Who Can Get Married at St John’s?

You are welcome to marry here if you live in the parish, have a connection to the church, or can create a qualifying connection (we can guide you on how this works). Don’t worry if you’re not sure — please get in touch and we can talk it through.

Marriage Blessings and Renewal of Vows

If you are already married but would like to mark a special anniversary, or perhaps have a blessing following a civil ceremony, we would be delighted to arrange a Service of Blessing or Renewal of Vows.
