Maundy Thursday Meal
Maundy Thursday Service and Meal
14th April 2022
All ages are welcome to join this special service and 3 course meal on Maundy Thursday. Church doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
An evening on which we remember in words and actions the gospel account of Jesus’ last Passover night. Jesus first washed the disciples’ feet. He then sat down and ate meal with his disciples, in which he instituted Communion. Before He went out into the Garden of Gethsemane, where he was to be betrayed.
Foot washing will be offered. We will share a meal including some of the traditional Seder symbols. We will share in communion. The Altar will then be stripped bare, a symbol of our souls being stripped bare before God.
There is no charge for this meal, but a donation would be appreciated. Please also let us know any dietary requirements in advance.
Tickets are required – please book your free ticket HERE
