Ash Wednesday Service

Lent begins with our Ash Wednesday service on March 5th at 10:30 AM. The service will include Holy Communion and the imposition of ashes, marking the start of this sacred season.
One of the most solemn days in the church year is Ash Wednesday.
It is a good day to stop and reflect.
This marks the beginning of Lent, the penitential season leading up to Easter that lasts forty
days. It is traditional during this service to be ashed by the priest, being marked with a cross on
your forehead while the priest says the words: ‘Remember you are dust, and to dust you shall
return. Turn away from your sins, and be faithful to Christ.’
